Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the durability of an exothermic body in a heater such as a steam generator or a humidifier by lowering and making the temperature of the exothermic body uniform, wherein a heating and vaporizing efficiency of steam or combustion liquid is improved and it becomes possible to prevent the liquid supplied to the exothermic body from flowing out without being vaporized.
SOLUTION: A steam generator comprises an exothermic body 9 which is mounted in a heating chamber 6 and generates heat by a magnetic field change caused by an exciting coil 8 which is mounted in a heating chamber 6, and liquid diffusion means which is made of an end face diffusion member 13 and an outer peripheral wall diffusion member 14 for dispersing a liquid supplied to the heating chamber 6 into the exothermic body 9. In operation, the flow of the liquid supplied to the exothermic body uniformly spreads into the periphery by a capillary action, liquid absorbing properties and liquid retaining properties of the liquid diffusion means and reaches an outer peripheral portion of the exothermic body 9 which exhibits the highest heating temperature so that the liquid is efficiently heated. Accordingly, it becomes possible to reduce an amount of the liquid which is supplied to the exothermic body 9 and flows out from the steam generator without being vaporized.
