To provide a steam generator, which does not make cracks at the tip part of a PTC heater due to temperature variation of the generator.
The steam generator has a heating part 13, which is heated up when electricity is fed to, an electrode board 12 to feed electricity to the heating part 13, an insulation board 11 to insulate the electrode 12 and a spacer 10, which pinches and holds the heating part 13, the electrode 12 and insulation board 11, and an outer casing, which contains in the same the heating part 13, the electrode 12, insulation board 11 and the spacer 10. On an occasion of the steam generator is functioned by feeding electricity to the heating part 13 and heating the surface of the outer case, the spacer 10 is longitudinally divided into a spacer 10a and a spacer 10b.
