PURPOSE: To curl hair efficiently without any trouble for providing hair with steam by slidably mounting curling rod in casing and thereby enabling selective blow-out of either steam or hot air.
CONSTITUTION: When a rod 1 is pushed in the direction designated by arrow sign P after hair is hooked by hair hooking projections 6 of the curling rod 1 and wound around the rod 1 while a casing 9 is being rotated, an end portion 8 of the rod presses spring 10 and space is formed between wings 11 of a steam generating chamber 2 and the inner periphery of the end portion 8, and further, a casing 12 of steam generating chamber 2 activates a pump in a pump chamber 3, thereby hair will be provided with steam through blow-out holes 6. When the pushing of the rod 1 is released, feeding of water from the pump chamber 3 is stopped while hot air is feeded into the inner portion of the rod 1 through a duct 5 and thereby the curling rod 1 is heated.
