Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam system which achieves energy saving of the entire system while enabling a bypass valve of a bypass pipe of a steam trap to be electrically driven.SOLUTION: A steam system 1 includes: a heat exchanger 22 in which steam radiates heat to an object to condense; a steam trap 23 which is provided at the downstream of the heat exchanger 22 and discharges only drain water; a bypass pipe 31 which bypasses the steam trap 23; and a bypass valve 32 provided at the bypass pipe 31. The steam system 1 further includes: an expander 24 into which the drain water discharged from the steam trap 23 flows, the expander 24 expanding the drain water to generate power; and a power generator 28 which is driven by the power generated by the expander 24. The steam system 1 is formed so as to drive the bypass valve 32 with electric power generated by the power generator 28.
