Abstract:
To provide a steam trap having a jamming prevention function capable of preventing or estimating jamming at the steam trap.SOLUTION: When foreign substances are adhered to an orifice 35 at a steam trap to cause a space at the orifice 35 to be gradually reduced, discharging of drain is dull even if a float in a steam trap is floated up due to residence of the drain and increasing in temperature at a trap main body becomes slow. A low rate of increase of this temperature is detected and steam of high temperature is injected into an inner space 12S of a cleaning mechanism 10 through a bypass 52. With this arrangement as above, a second bimetal 12 is elongated to push up a cleaning bar 2 to cause an extremity end part 25 to be advanced into the orifice 35 to perform the cleaning operation. In addition, when the orifice 35 is completely clogged, temperature lowering due to staying of drain causes a first bimetal 11 to be extended and pushes up the cleaning bar 2 to perform the cleaning operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
