Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam trap including a cleaning mechanism capable of automatically retracting a cleaning member coming into a discharge port, while improving foreign matter removing efficiency at the discharge port.SOLUTION: A steam trap 1 includes a casing 10 having a small-diameter portion 16 as a discharge port of drainage, a bimetal 22 disposed on a position where the drainage discharged from the small-diameter portion 16a flows, and displaced according to temperature change, and a rod-shaped cleaning member 30 moved forward and backward to the small-diameter portion 16a from its outer part by the displacement of the bimetal 22 to remove foreign matters on the small-diameter portion 16a. The cleaning member 30 has a tip portion 35 configured to have a diameter substantially same as a diameter of the small-diameter portion 16a, and a reduced portion 34 formed continuously from the tip portion 35, and having a diameter smaller than the tip portion 35. The cleaning member is constituted to move forward by the displacement of the bimetal 22 until the reduced portion 34 is protruded into the small-diameter portion 16a.
