Abstract:
PURPOSE:To avoid a turbine accident in advance by tripping a steam turbine when there occurs unbalance in the steam amount supplied to a plural number of steam turbines. CONSTITUTION:When it is detected during the ordinary drive of a turbine that there is a malfunction in controlling turbine control systems 29 and 30, a control part 40 first gives a quick close instruction to turbine by-pass valves 14 and 15. Then the unbalance amount of the supplied steam amount to turbines 1 - 3 after the quick close instruction is given is detected, and in the case when the valve 11 and a reheat steam stop valve 16 are closed and this steam turbine device is tripped. Consequently, even when the by-pass valves do not close in spite of the above, it is possible to avoid damages to the turbine.
