Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a steam turbine by which the chipping and erosion of rear edges of nozzle vanes in a primary inflow arc portion can be prevented and the total maintenance cost can be reduced.
CONSTITUTION: For this steam turbine operatable by the partial admission, the rear edges 26a, 28a of the nozzle vanes 10, 12 of the primary inflow arc portion are thickner than the rear edges of the remaining nozzle vanes. Whereby the chipping and erosion caused by the large pressure load during the partial load operation is avoided.
