To provide a steam valve capable of removing foreign matter particles accumulated between a valve shaft and a valve rod bushing by performing a valve test without being limited by an operation condition of a steam turbine plant.
The steam valve 50 is provided with a valve casing 51, a cover 54 provided at an upper surface of the valve casing 51, and a valve element provided in the valve casing 51 and freely abutting on a valve seat 55 in the valve casing 51. The valve rod 63 passing through the cover 54 and provided on the valve element 56 freely movably in relation to the cover 54 is connected to the valve element 56, and a first valve rod drive mechanism 64 driving the valve rod 63 in an axial direction is connected to the valve rod 63. A cover side bushing 65 is fixed on the pass through part 54a of the cover 54 through which the valve rod 63 passes, and a valve rod bushing 66 freely movable in relation to the cover side bushing 65 is provided between the cover side bushing 65 and the valve rod 63. A valve rod bushing drive mechanism 69 driving the valve rod bushing 66 is connected to the valve rod bushing 66.
