Abstract:
To provide a Steckel mill which is mainly intended to manufacture a steel material having a high strength and high toughness and additionally intended to reduce the installation area, equipment cost, rolling time and operating cost.
This Steckel mill is provided with a pair of coiler furnaces 2, 2 for performing the winding and the unwinding of a strip S, two-way driving type rolling mill 1 which is installed between the coiler furnaces 2, 2 and cooling systems 3 which are installed between the coiler furnaces 2, 2 and the two-way driving type rolling mill 1.
