PURPOSE: To improve fixing strength to a foundation part by connecting a thick-walled steel leg part, embedded for fixing and provided with a plurarity of concrete passage opening parts, integrally to a thin-walled steel column body to form a steel column member.
CONSTITUTION: A thick-walled steel leg part 2 embedded for fixing and provided with a plurarity of concrete passage opening parts 1 is jointed by welding to a thin-walled steel column body 3 at a welded part 9 to form a steel column member. The lower end part of the steel leg part 2 is provided with a seat plate 18. Temporary bearing bolts 19 are screw-fixed to the seat plate 18 to bring the lower ends of the temporary bearing bolts 19 into contact with the supporting face, and the steel column member is held to the specified height through the temporary bearing bolts 19. The steel leg part 2 is then embedded and fixed in fixing concrete placed on both sides of the opening parts through the concrete passage opening parts 1.
