Abstract:

To provide a steel cord making productivity of the cord compatible with durability of a tire, and to provide a pneumatic radial tire using the steel cord.

The steel cord 10 has a layer-twisted structure of n+m+1 including a core 1 comprising n filaments 11 (n=1-4); one layer of a sheath 2 formed around the core 1, and comprising m filaments 12 äm=n+(2 to 6)}; and a winding wire 3 wound around the outer peripheral surface of the sheath 2.
