Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fatigue resistance of a steel cord to be used for a belt, a carcass, etc., that is a constituting part of a tire, by increasing rubber permeability.
SOLUTION: An open twist structure having a flat cross section, in which seven filaments are arranged around a core consisting of three filaments, is formed by twisting ten filaments 2, 3 of ≥0.15mm and ≤0.23mm in diameter at once. Further, the ratio of the major axis/the minor axis (X/Y) of a flat cross section is ≥1.05 and ≤1.20.
