Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a steel cord reinforced rubber belt improved in the penetrability of rubber into steel cords so as to reduce the permeation of air in the steel cords, preventing the corrosion of the steel cords so as to improve service life and destrable in bending resistant fatigue even if the cord diameter is made thick.
CONSTITUTION: A steel cord reinforced rubber belt 1 is formed of a strip rubber belt body 2 and steel cords 3 embedded parallelly in the longitudinal direction in the rubber belt body 2. In the steel cord 3, an inner layer 3A is formed of three center element wires d0 of the same diameter, three first side element wires d1 of the same diameter, and three second side element wires d2 of the same diameter but smaller than the diameter of the first side element wire d1; and all the element wires of the inner layer 3A are stranded in the same direction and length. In addition, the stranded length of the element wires of the inner layer 3A is to be 0.5-0.9 times as long as the stranded length of nine to fifteen third side element wires d3 of the same diameter in a middle layer 3B, and the stranded length of the third side element wires d3 of the middle layer 3B is to be 0.5-0.9 times as long as the stranded length of nine to fifteen fourth side element wires d4 in an outer layer 3C.
