Abstract:
To provide a steel cord-rubber composite that has a good balance between resistance to deterioration of rubber and adhesiveness between rubber and a steel cord, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A steel cord-rubber composite is configured by bonding a steel cord having one or more steel filaments on which a plating layer containing copper, zinc, and cobalt is formed with rubber. When a layer with the presence of a compound of copper and sulfur of the plating layer is defined as an adhesive layer and an inflection point position where the sulfur content in the adhesive layer increases is defined as an adhesive layer lowermost part, and when cobalt atomic % is analyzed by 100nm inward in a vertical direction to a longitudinal direction of a steel filament from the adhesive layer lowermost part at six points disposed equidistantly in a longitudinal direction of the steel filament to define a part with a higher cobalt atomic % than cobalt atomic % over the whole plating layer as a cobalt-rich region, the total of cobalt-rich regions of six points is 40% or more of the total of analytical ranges of six points.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
