Abstract:
To provide a steel cord-rubber composite, which highly satisfies deterioration resistance of rubber and adhesiveness between the rubber and the steel cord, and manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A plated layer containing copper, zinc and cobalt is formed on a steel cord-rubber composite that is formed by attaching a steel cord having one or more steel filament(s) and a rubber. A layer containing compound of copper and sulfur in the plated layer is defined as an adhesion layer, and a position of an inflection point at which sulfur content in the adhesion layer increases is defined as a lowest part of the adhesion layer. Cobalt atom% is analyzed at equally spaced six points in longer direction of the steel filament and 100 nm from the lowest part of adhesion layer inward in a direction perpendicular to the longer direction of the steel filament, and region with higher cobalt atom% than that of entire plated layer is defined as cobalt rich region. Sum of cobalt rich regions at the six points accounts for 40% or higher of sum of analyzed areas of the six points and the rubber contains silica.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
