Abstract:
PURPOSE: To permeate a rubber upto the central part of a core strand sufficiently and realize sure integration and fretting prevention by having each element wire with a peculiar form and a clearance between the element wires twisted together, in a core strand.
CONSTITUTION: The core strand (a) of a steel cord with 1×n+m structure is formed by twisting together element wires 1-6 in the same twist direction and by the same twist pitch at a time and a wavy curl is applied on the element wires 1-6 by a pitch shorter than the twist pitch of the core strand (a). Thus, the cross or substitute between element wires exist in the longitudinal direction of the core strand (a) and an outer layer (b) is formed by arranging the element wires 13 with a peculiar diameter around the core strand (a) and twisting them together in a spiral shape and a clearance (g") is formed between respective element wires 13. Therefore, a clearance passing from the outside of the core strand (a) upto the central part is made and sure permiation of the rubber upto the central part can be carried out by fixing this and favorable durability can be obtained by relieving the fretting between the element wires 1-6.
