Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a steel cord for rubber reinforcement, having a 1×6-type structure and compact size and exhibiting improved fatigue resistance while keeping high corrosion resistance.
CONSTITUTION: This rubber-reinforcing steel cord is composed of 6 element wires (a) having the same diameters and twisted with each other to form the close-packed cross-section structure of the twisted wires to position one element wire (a) at the center and 5 element wires arranged close to each other along the circumferential direction on the outer circumference of the central elemental wire.
