Abstract:
To provide a steel cord for reinforcement of rubber products in which it is inhibited that a core filament of a core strand fries out from a rubber member by impregnating a rubber into the surface of a core filament of a core strand without lowering cord-cutting load.
The core strand 22 of the steel cord 10 is composed of one core filament 22C and five sheath filaments 22S stranded around the core filament 22C. Six sheath strands 26 are stranded around these core strands 22. Since spaces between core strands 22C are sufficient wide, impregnation of a rubber member into these core filaments 22C is high. Consequently, the steel cord 10 for reinforcement of rubber products in which flying out of the core filament 22C is inhibited is realized.
