Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress the permeation of water and the fretting of wires with each other and to improve the corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance of steel cord by sufficiently impregnating a rubber into each layer of a steel cord having three-layer structure.
CONSTITUTION: A core part (a) is formed by twisting three wires 1 subjected to excessive forming exceeding 100%. An intermediate layer (b) is formed on the outer circumference of the core part (a) by twisting plural wires 2 subjected to excessive forming exceeding 100%. An outer layer (c) is formed on the outer circumference of the intermediate layer (b) by twisting plural wires 3 subjected to excessive forming exceeding 100%.
