To provide a steel material bending method, manufacturing a product of high quality at a low cost without penetrant inspection and X-ray inspection without considering mold cost and repair cost.
In manufacturing a bead sheet 3, previously a three-dimensional CAD drawing of sheet-like steel to be curved is developed, and from the development, a stock removal for forming a schematic shape of the steel product is set to decide the shape before bending. Subsequently, this three-dimensional CAD data is input to a control device of NC machine tool, and according to the three-dimensional CAD data, a stock removal is cut from the steel by the NC machine tool or the like to machine the steel into a schematic product shape. After machining to the schematic product shape, the steel is bent to a curved shape, and after bending, a restraining rib is fitted to keep the curved shape. Further, the periphery of the steel product is thermally cut, and final machining is performed to manufacture the bead sheet 3 made of steel.
