Abstract:
To provide a steel pipe end part processing method and a processing device by which a processed surface of a steel pipe after processing can be prevented from being damaged by a profiling roller.SOLUTION: A first profiling roller 42, which contacts outer peripheral surface of a steel pipe 16, and a first tip, which chamfers an outer end part of the steel pipe 16, are provided on an oscillation member 36 which is so supported on a turntable 22 as to be capable of oscillating. The oscillation member 36 is so energized by a first compression coil spring 48 that the first profiling roller 42 oscillates in a direction radially separating from the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe 16. Energization force of the first compression coil spring 48 is so set as to be smaller than centrifugal force acting in a direction in which the first profiling roller 42 is pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe 16 when the turntable 22 is rotated at a rotational speed during processing, and as to be larger than the centrifugal force acting in a direction in which the first profiling roller 42 is pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe 16 when the turntable 22 is rotated at a rotational speed during releasing which is slower than the rotational speed during processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
