To provide a steel pipe pile capable of constructing a uniform foot protection section and a construction method for the steel pipe pile.
This steel pipe pile 1 has a plurality of injection nozzles at intervals in the circumferential direction thereof at the end. At least one of the plurality of injection nozzles is an inward injection nozzle 2 disposed in such a manner as to inject toward the inner surface of the steel pipe pile. In this construction method, the steel pipe 1 pile stated above is used. Using a vibro-hammer, the steel pipe pile 1 is intruded a predetermined depth while injecting a high pressure water from the injection nozzles 6 for injecting in the direction of intruding the steel pipe pile and the inward injection nozzle 2. In place of the injection of the high pressure water, a fluidized solid material is injected from each injection nozzle to construct the foot protection section by solidifying the fluidized sold material at the end of the steel pipe pile.
