Abstract:
To provide a steel pipe pile pitching method capable of easily and precisely specifying a driving position of a steel pipe pile even when visibility of a underwater diver is bad.
A preboring hole Gh which is smaller in diameter than a steel pipe pile 3 to be pitched is formed by vertically driving a casing pipe 1 with a cutting blade 1b attached on its outer periphery in a base rock G on the water bottom and drilling the inside of this casing pipe. Thereafter, a funnel type expanded part Gt is formed by cutting the neighbourhood of a top end of the preboring hole by axially rotating the casing pipe. Thereafter, the steel pipe pile is driven in the preboring hole with the expanded part Gt as a guide.
