To provide a steel pipe pile which enables efficient execution of work by enabling smooth excavation of even a hard stratum and making upward jacking smooth in a pull-out operation.
Two spiral feed vanes 3a and 3b are disposed at an arbitrary angle α of inclination with respect to a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the steel pipe 2, on an outer peripheral surface of one axial end of a hollow steel pipe 2. Starting points 31a and 31b of the two feed vanes 3a and 3b, and end points 32a and 32b thereof are set in the same positions with respect to the axial direction of the steel pipe 2 and set different in phase with respect to the circumferential direction of the steel pipe 2. An excavating blade 5a or 5d, which has an angle β of inclination larger than the angle α of the inclination of the feed vanes 3a and 3b and which is narrower than the feed vanes 3a and 3b, is disposed at the starting points 31a and 31b of the feed vanes 3a and 3b and/or the end points 32a and 32b.
