Abstract:
To provide a device which efficiently polishes an outer periphery of a steel pipe while moving in a circumferential direction.SOLUTION: A polishing device 1 comprises a polishing unit 2 and a carrier unit 3, and polishes an outer circumference of a steel pipe P while self-propelled by the carrier unit 3. The polishing unit 2 comprises: a mechanism frame 4; a drive unit 7 supported by the mechanism frame; a pair of left and right roll brushes 5; and a transmission mechanism 6 between the roll brushes and the drive unit 7. The carrier unit 3 is combined with the mechanism frame 4 by a support frame 11, and a wheel support member 12 is constructed on the support frame 11. A magnet wheel 13, which is attracted to an outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe P, is supported by the wheel support member 12. The magnet wheel 13 is rolled by a wireless control motor 14, whereby the carrier unit 3 is self-propelled in a circumferential direction on the outer circumference of the steel pipe P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
