Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel plank cofferdam structure capable of effectively preventing an underground structure such as a tunnel, an underground pipe or a facility tunnel from being floated by liquefaction of soil, and a construction method thereof.SOLUTION: The steel plank cofferdam structure is constructed by installing a steel plank wall by driving steel planks at both sides of an underground structure which is positioned within a liquefaction layer, until lower ends of the steel planks are rooted in a non-liquefaction layer, in order to prevent the underground structure from being floated by liquefaction of soil. When a height of the under ground structure is defined as hand a downward distance from an upper end of the steel plank wall to a lower end of the underground structure is defined as l, a height position of the upper end of the steel plank wall is equal to or lower than an underground water level and satisfies l/h≥0.30.
