Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To press a steel plate so as to provide a mass part on the periphery.
SOLUTION: A flywheel 5 has a mass ring 13 wound in a flat spiral form on the periphery. The mass ring 13 can be provided by a process for forming a shallow cup in the central part of a disc and then bending the edge from the outside in two positions, and a process for gathering the bent parts to the side part of the cup. Since the bent parts are formed by one-way bending work, the draft is low so that cracking can be prevented. Further, since the mass ring 13 is turned in the axial line direction, another member can be arranged on the inside thereof, and the mass ring 13 can be set in a space substantially having only the plate thickness in the axial line direction.
