To provide a steel plate shape correction method capable of efficiently correcting a shape of a steel plate from a steel plate shape under a pressurizing ram when correcting the shape.
The shape of the steel plate S under the pressurizing ram 2 is measured by a steel plate shape measurement device 6 based on position information on the steel plate S detected by a position detection device 7, and a shape correction position and a shape correction condition of the steel plate S are determined by evaluating the shape of the steel plate S from a shape measurement result of the measured steel plate S, and the steel plate S is carried by beds 3 and 4 so that the determined shape correction position becomes under the pressurizing ram 2, and the shape of the steel plate S is corrected by the pressurizing ram 2 under the determined shape correction condition. When evaluating the shape of the steel plate S, a difference clearance of the steel plate is determined, and a position where the difference clearance is larger than a preset predetermined value, is evaluated as a correction position.
