Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel product which is excellent in reliability of heat treatment and high in toughness, ductility, hardness and strength.SOLUTION: In a steel product, fine ferrite and iron carbide are precipitated separately in austenite grain boundaries, with the ferrite occupying most, compared with the iron carbide, and the ferrite and iron carbide are precipitated in the boundaries in a lump and net form. In the base metal, martensite structures surrounded by the precipitates are present.
