To provide a steel sheet decorating material which, when a decorating sheet using a polypropylene as its main material is pasted on a steel sheet substrate, hardly produces harmful effects on the environment and human body.

The steel sheet decorating material is obtained by laminating the pattern-provided polypropylene type decorating sheet on the steel sheet substrate through an adhesive layer and an anchor coat layer. As the adhesive layer a maleic anhydride-modified polyolefin resin mainly composed of a polypropylene is used, and the thickness of the adhesive layer is ≥5 μm. The steel sheet decorating material can be manufactured without the use of a solvent type adhesive containing methylene chloride and the like, and this leads to reduction of load to the environment and elimination of adverse effects to the body of a manufacturing operator.
