Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet for a cathode-ray tube frame which is used for a Trinitron (R) type color picture tube, and to provide a method of producing the same.
SOLUTION: The steel sheet comprises, by mass, 0.002 to 0.3% C, ≤1.0% Si, 0.05 to 1.5% Mn, ≤0.1% P, ≤0.1% S, 0.2 to 2.0% Cu, and 0.003 to 0.3% Al, further comprises one or two kinds of metals selected from 0.05 to 0.3% Ti and 0.05 to 0.3% Nb, and in which the amount of Cu precipitations with a size of ≤0.2 μm is ≥0.2 mass% after stress relieving annealing performed within the range of 450 to 600°C. Its yield strength is increased by ≥50 MPa by the stress relieving annealing.
