To provide a steel slit dam greatly excellent in workability and economical efficiency, including self-standing steel pipe materials which can be constructed while reducing welding work and the number of bolts to be used for mounting flanges thereon.
A steel slit dam 11 comprises a plurality of self-standing chevron steel pipe materials 10 each of which has an upstream-side steel pipe material 1 and a downstream-side steel pipe material 2 assembled in a shevron-shape inclining to the flowing direction of river water and installed on a concrete foundation 9, and which are installed at spaces in a direction perpendicular to the flowing direction of the river water. The downstream-side steel pipe material 2 of each self-standing shevron steel pipe material 10 has an upper steel pipe member 2a and a lower steel pipe member 2b connected together, and the upper steel pipe member 2a has an upper end integrally joined to the upper end of the upstream-side steel pipe material 1 at a chevron apex angle with welding work. The upper steel pipe member 2a and the lower steel pipe member 2b are connected together in such a manner that flanges 3 and 4 provided on their joint end faces are bolt-joined together.
