To provide an apparatus for removing strain in a steel material with which heat gain into the steel material with induction current can be controlling at high accuracy by always keeping a gap between a heating coil and the surface of the steel material to a target value without affecting the surface shape of the steel material and the traveling of a truck loading the heating device.
In the apparatus for removing the strain in the steel material, in which the heating device for removing the strain in a deformed part by heating the neighborhood of the deformed part of the steel material with the heating coil set with a gap to the surface of the steel material on the truck, a supporting member for supporting an amplification transfer and the heating coil, and arranged vertically movable by making independent of this truck, in the truck body supporting the wheels of the truck, and a mechanism for adjusting the gap with the heating coil, holding the gap between the heating coil and the surface of the steel material to a prescribed gap through the supporting member, are provided.
