PURPOSE: To save the time necessary for cooling and heating by 3hr by providing a winder for moving a steel strip in linkage with a wire, a device for moving the wire to the center of a furnace in passing the sheet, etc., to eliminate the need for lowering the furnace temp. when in operation.
CONSTITUTION: The strip passing device is formed with the strip passing wire 1, the winder 6 for moving the wire to the input side or output side of the furnace, a hook, and a sheave shift device 7 for moving the wire 1 to the center of the furnace in passing the sheet. The wire 1 has a tractor 3 to be linked with a strip passing jig 2 held in the high-temp. continuous treating furnace for the steel strip 4. The hook is provided on the furnace wall, and the wire 1 is supported on standby.
