Title:
STEEL TOWER FOR POWER TRANSMISSION WITH SAFETY FACILITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3479858
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a hot-line job, etc., be done safely especially in a steel tower with a narrow line interval.
SOLUTION: Two ladders 33 and 43 for climbing the tower are parallelly installed right and left along a face of a tower body of a steel tower for power transmission. A handrail of one of these ladders 33, 43 is rotatably installed on the cable side through a hinge and that of the other one is installed through a locking device. When a worker performs a hot-line job, he goes up one ladder 33, unlocking the locking device 38 of the other ladder 43 and opening it toward the hot-line side. By this method, a wall of a protection fence 43 is formed on the hot-line side of the steel tower for transmission 22 and it separates a job area from the hot-line side. Therefore, the safety of the worker is secured.
