Abstract:
To provide a steel tube having excellent steam oxidation resistance and suitable as a material used for boilers in power generation facilities, tubing and various heat exchangers, etc.
The steel tube with excellent steam oxidation resistance contains 8 to 28 mass% Cr and has a worked layer in the inner surface thereof and satisfies inequality 0.5 (wherein is represented by equation ={Hv20-Hvt/2}/Hvt/2). In the equation, Hv20 and Hvt/2 denote a Vickers hardness in a position at a depth of 20 m from the inner surface of the steel tube and a Vickers hardness in a position at a depth of t/2 (where (t) is wall thickness of the steel tube) from the inner surface of the steel tube, respectively.
