Abstract:
To provide a steel wire and steel cord simultaneously satisfying three of an initial adhesiveness, adhesion durability, and after treatment property, and excellent in adhesiveness with rubber, and a pneumatic tire using the same.
The steel wire and steel cord are surface-treated with aqueous solution containing a triazole compound after surface-treated with aqueous acid solution. The aqueous acid solution is preferably aqueous solution containing phosphoric acid, and the triazole compound is preferably benzotriazole or tolyltriazole. The steel wire and steel cord are suitably used for reinforcements of a carcass or belt to form the pneumatic tire.
