Title:
STEEL WIRE FOR REINFORCING RUBBER GOODS, STEEL CORD FOR REINFORCING RUBBER GOODS, AND TIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003313788
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To establish a method for advantageously avoiding adhesive deterioration with rubber due to air (oxygen) or water in brass plating.
A steel wire for reinforcing rubber is prepared by applying brass plating around the surface of the wire. In the brass plated layer, the ratio of copper to the sum total of copper and zinc is 35-50 mass%. In a surface area ranging from the brass plated surface till 5 nm depth in the inside in the radial direction, the ratio of copper to the sum total of copper and zinc is regulated to be 15-30 atomic % and the ratio of phosphor included in the surface area as an oxide is regulated to be ≤1.5 atomic %.
