Title:
STEEL WIRE ROD FOR HARD-DRAWN SPRING, WIRE DRAWING ROD FOR HARD-DRAWN SPRING, HARD-DRAWN SPRING AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE HARD-DRAWN SPRING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3940264
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel wire rod and a wire drawing rod for a spring for producing a hard-drawn spring which exhibits excellent fatigue strength and permanent set resistance in fatigue equal to those of a spring using an oil tempered steel wire, the hard-drawn spring, a useful method for producing the hard-drawn spring at a low cost and the like.
SOLUTION: The steel wire rod for a hard-drawn spring has a composition containing, by mass, 0.5 to <0.7% C, 1.6 to 3% Si, 0.5 to 1.5% Mn, 0.05 to 0.5% Ni, 0.05 to 1.5% Cr and 0.05 to 0.25% V, and in which the area ratio Rp of the pearlitic structure satisfies the following inequality (1): Rp (area %)≥55×[C]+61...(1); wherein, [C] denotes the content (mass%) of C.
