Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3949926
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel wire or rod which has excellent wire drawability as in hot-rolled state, even when heat treatment such as spheroidizing annealing is omitted, and provide bearing parts obtained from the steel wire or rod.
SOLUTION: The steel wire or rod includes 0.8-1.3% C (by mass%, hereafter), and has 10 or less of an aspect ratio (a ratio of a major axis to a minor axis) of pro-eutectoid cementites, 2 μm or less of the minor axes, and 20 μm or less of the average size of an enclosed region by the pro-eutectoid cementite.
