A steering adjusting clearance shielding structure is formed of the shaft cover 18 covering a steering shaft, an instrument panel 1, and the shielding member B blocking a clearance C1 formed between the shaft cover 18 and the instrument panel 1. A flexible following part 30 of the shielding member B includes a folding part 33 which is a free end of the shielding member B, a first flexible wall 31 connecting an attaching part 21 and the folding part 33 and blocking the clearance C1 by abutting upon the shaft cover 18, and a second flexible wall 32 connecting the folding part 33 and the attaching part 22. The first flexible wall 31 always abuts upon the shaft cover 18 by an elastic force generated by elastic deformation caused by abutting upon the shaft cover 18.
