Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simultaneously effect control in response to a load without impeding control of a steering auxiliary force and to produce a stable steering response, by a method wherein plural control patterns specified by a car speed, a steering force, etc. are prepared, and are selected according to the weight of a carrying load. CONSTITUTION:Plural control patterns responding to the weight of a carrying load are stored in a microcomputer in a controller 10, and the patterns are selected responding to a signal from a carrying load sensor 9. Therefore, a steering auxiliary force is not directly changed according to the weight of the carrying load, plural control patterns, specified by a car speed, a steering angle, etc., are prepared, and the patterns are selected according to the weight of the load. This performs simultaneous control responding to the carrying load without impeding control of a steering auxiliary force depending upon a car speed, a steering angle, etc., and always enables production of a stable steering response.
