Abstract:

To facilitate the adjustment of a caster or camber by providing, an axle tube connected with a yoke at the end, a ball joint assembly sleeve movably retained in an expanded hole provided in the axle, and a cramp selectably fixing the sleeve.

A tube yoke 10 having a wheel alignment mechanism 30 fix and fit an axle tube 11 in a hole 12, pivotably coupling a steering knuckle through upper and lower ball joints. Thus the tubular yoke 10 comprises an upper and lower yoke tabs 20, 22, receiving the lower ball joint in a hole 23 formed at the end region 25 of the yoke tab 22. On the other hand, an adjusting mechanism 30 is provided at the end region 24 of the upper yoke tab 20 to allow the upper ball joint to be appropriately positionable and to allow caster and camber to be adjustable. This adjusting mechanism 30 has a ball joint assembly sleeve 50, which may be fixed to a desired position with respect to an inclined member 40 by means of cramps 60a, 60b.
