Title:
STEERING COLUMN SHAFT FITTING STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOBILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014129070
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of engineering steps and experimentation man hours by separating a component for vibration absorption carried out by a post bracket from a component for shock absorption to facilitate design control.SOLUTION: The other end of a post bracket 8 having one end fixed to a steering shaft 2 in an axially supported state by a fastening tool 7 such as a bolt is fixed to a car body 10. The post bracket 8 extends in the longitudinal direction of the car body 10. The one-end side axial support part P1 and the other end side fixing point P2 of the post bracket 8 are offset in the vertical direction of the car body 10. Thus, when a shock force is applied at the time of automobile collision, a steering column shaft 3 is swung with respect to the post bracket 8 to move a steering wheel 1 away from a driver, and the post bracket 8 resists vibration propagated from the tire to exhibit vibration absorption performance.
