Abstract:
To provide a steering control device for a vehicle so as to make it easy for a driver to detect road surface information and shift to an avoidance operation when entering a low-μ-road.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: A steering control device controls steering in a vehicle (1) having: a front wheel steering device (12) and a rear wheel steering device (13) each of which is capable of generating turning torque; and a reaction force device (14) attached to a handle (15) and capable of generating reaction force torque relative to the turning torque. The steering control device includes: a determination unit (10) that determines whether a friction coefficient μf of a road surface of a front wheel (2f) is smaller than a friction coefficient μr of a road surface of a rear wheel (2r); and a control unit (11) that, if it is determined that the friction coefficient μf is smaller than the friction coefficient μr, executes control so that the reaction force torque of the front wheel increases, the reaction force torque being distributed to the front wheel and the rear wheel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
