Abstract:
To prevent breakage of a steering device by reducing a shock applied thereto when the steering wheel reaches the limit of steering.
In a vehicle in which, based on a steering wheel operation quantity obtained from a detection signal from a steering wheel sensor 7 and a steering wheel turning angle detected by a steering angle sensor 6, a controller 8 drives a motor to perform steering, when the steering turning angle is in a range in the vicinity of steering limit preliminarily set, the controller 8 performs controlling so as to regulate a maximum value of steering output generated by the motor 9.
