To provide a steering device for a low cost vehicle capable of preventing addendum locking.

A first tilt lock tooth 44 is formed on a tilt time movable piece 36 displaced in a tilt direction Y1 with a steering wheel at tilt adjustment. Further, a second tilt lock tooth 46 is formed on a left side plate 15c of a fixing bracket 15 in which together displacement with the steering wheel is restricted at tilt adjustment. A guide projection 45 provided on a specific apex part 441a of the first tilt lock tooth 441 can be stored in a storage recession part 47 provided on a tooth groove 46a between the second tilt lock teeth 46. When the first and second tilt lock teeth 44, 46 are engaged with each other, both tilt lock teeth 44, 46 are aligned by abutting the guide projection 45 on the corresponding apex part 46b of the second tilt lock tooth 46.
