Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of spin of a vehicle by controlling a rear wheel steering system so that the max. cornering force generating slip angle of a rear wheel tire varies according to the result of the detection for the turning state of the vehicle, in the vehicle equipped with a four-wheel steering device. CONSTITUTION:Actuators 24a-24d for steering rear wheels 3L and 3R are installed by deforming insulator rubbers 20L and 20R, and actuators 24a, 24d, 24b, and 24c are connected with a rear wheel steering control valve 25 through communication circuits P7 and P8. Further, in a hydraulic pressure feeding circuit P5 for a hydraulic pressure source, a flow rate control valve 28 is installed. In a low lateral G detecting circuit 29, it is judged if the turning state where the cornering force is less than a prescribed value and the lateral acceleration speed is less is generated or not, on the basis of the output signals of a steering angle sensor 30 and a car speed sensor 31. If the judgement is 'YES', the flow rate control valve 28 is turned ON, and pressurized oil is supplied into the actuators 24a-24d through a rear wheel steering control valve 25, and rear wheels 3L and 3R are steered.
