To provide a steering device of a working machine, and a program for the steering device which are capable of automatically and reliably steering the working machine outwardly when a tractor makes a turn even if the working machine has no steering mechanism, and rapidly allowing the working machine to follow the tractor backward and matching advancing directions with each other when the tractor is returned from the turning state to a straight-going state.
When a turning state detection means 15 for detecting the turning state of a tractor 3 based on a numerical value changed by the operation of the tractor 3 detects the start of the turn, a hitch angle control means 13 is controlled to control a hitch angle so that the working machine 2 is outwardly steered with respect to the turning direction of the tractor 3. When the turning state detection means 15 detects the end of the turn, the hitch angle control means 13 is controlled so that the hitch angle reaches a reference offset value.
